Summary:
With our move to Office 365, and in light of the increased hacking and phishing activity worldwide, Microsoft and Fullerton College have transitioned our systems to use Modern authentication and have discontinued support for Legacy Authentication protocols when accessing email and other systems. As of October 9th, 2020 Fullerton College's email system can only be accessed by email clients that support modern authentication.
Details:
Modern authentication enables features like multi-factor authentication (MFA), smart cards, certificate-based authentication (CBA), and third-party SAML identity providers and is based on ADAL and OAuth 2.0.
Fullerton College recommends and can provide support setting up and using the official Microsoft Outlook email client on all platforms including Windows, MacOS, Android and iOS. Due to the variety of email clients available on mobile devices we are unable to gurantee support for mobile based email clients other than the official Microsoft Outlook mail client.
