How to Print Using Student Print Credits

Last Updated on

Audience: Fullerton College students

Overview: Fullerton College students can print in designated computer lounges (e.g., ACT Computer Lounge in Room 513, 212 Transfer Center, 800 Academic Support Center) using print credits tied to their Student Email/account. This article explains how to obtain credits, print documents, and check costs. For non-ACT managed lounges, contact the respective department for hours and availability (212 Transfer Center, 800 Academic Support Center).

Prerequisites

  • A Student Email (e.g., [email protected]) and MyGateway password.
  • Enrollment in a Fullerton College course.
  • Access to a computer lounge with printers (e.g., Room 513, Building 500).
  • A valid FC student ID card or government-issued photo ID.

Instructions

Step 1: Obtain Print Credits

  1. Visit the ACT Computer Lounge (Room 513, Building 500) during posted hours.
  2. Present your FC student ID or photo ID to lounge staff.
  3. Request print credits; staff will add credits to your Student Email account at no cost (temporary due to print system issues).
    • Note: When the print system is restored, credits may require payment.

Step 2: Print Documents

  1. Log into a lounge computer with your Student Email (e.g., [email protected]) and MyGateway password.
  2. Open your document and select Print.
  3. Choose the lounge’s printer (e.g., FcA513-Ptr1 in Room 513).
  4. Confirm print settings (black & white or color) and submit.
    • Costs (for consideration, when system is functional):
      • Black & white: 0.05 credits/page
      • Color: 0.25 credits/page
  5. Collect your printout from the printer.
