How to Manage Your FC Student Email Account

Overview: A Fullerton College student email account provides access to campus services like email (e.g., [email protected]), Office 365, Wi-Fi, campus computers. This article explains how accounts are created, how long they last, what’s included, and how to access key services.

Prerequisites

  • You must be enrolled in at least one course at Fullerton College for the current semester.
  • You need your 8-digit Banner ID (found in MyGateway) and initial password (set via MyGateway).

FC Email Account Creation

  • FC email accounts are automatically created for enrolled students on the first day of the term or within 24 hours of completing registration after the term starts.
  • If you enrolled before the term, FC email accounts are not guaranteed until the first day of classes.

Students with holds or pending approvals (e.g., administrative, instructor) may experience delays beyond 24 hours. If you have holds or haven’t attended for 2+ years, please contact Admissions and Records.

FC Email Account Retention

  • FC email accounts remain active while you’re enrolled and for 90 days after the semester ends, unless you enroll in the next semester.
  • If not enrolled for 3 primary terms (1.5 years), accounts are disabled. After 4 terms (2 years), accounts are deleted.
  • Re-enrolling students get a new FC email account provisioned within 24 hours of registration.

FC Email Accessing Your Account

  • Username: Your 8-digit Banner ID (without the @ symbol) + @fullcoll.edu
  • Password: Same as MyGateway. Reset at MyGateway by selecting “Forgot Password” if needed.
  • Sign-In: Use your full email to log into campus computers, Wi-Fi, or Office 365 (o365.fullcoll.edu)

Password Sync: Your FCNet password syncs with MyGateway. Always reset via MyGateway, not Office 365.

Signing in with just your Banner ID (e.g., 01234567) may work in some locations, but is not recommended.

Visiting students from Cypress College or NOCE should be able to use their campus email (e.g., [email protected]) to sign into campus computers.

Included Services

  • Email: Access via Microsoft 365 (o365.fullcoll.edu) and Outlook 365 for communication and notifications.
  • Microsoft Office 365: Includes OneDrive, Teams, Word, and more for academic use.
  • Wi-Fi: Connect to FCNet Wi-Fi for campus internet access.
  • Campus Computers: Log into lab or classroom computers (e.g., Computer Lounges on campus).
