How to find your MAC Address on your Device

The instructions below details how to obtain your device’s physical address, also known as a MAC  address on a Windows 10 PC, Apple macOS, and or a Chromebook.

Prerequisites:

  • Personal device such as:  
    • Windows 10 PC
    • mac OS
    • Chromebook.

Instructions:

1. On a Windows 10 PC, in the Type here to search box  (located at the lower left of your desktop), type Ethernet Settings.

2. Click Ethernet Settings

3. Click Ethernet.

4. Your Physical address, also known as a MAC address, will be  displayed under Properties.  

5. Please email the MAC address to ACT Help Desk at [email protected] to register your device

6. On an Apple macOS (Mac OS X) device, open the Apple Menu by clicking the apple symbol.

7. Click System Preferences.

8. Click Network.

9. Click Advanced.

10. Click the WiFi tab.

11. The WiFi Address or Airport Address is your device’s MAC  address. Please email the MAC address to ACT Help Desk at  [email protected] to register your device

12. On a Chromebook, open Settings from the apps menu.

13. Click Network.

14. Click your WiFi Network name.

15. Expand the Network section.

16. Scroll down to Name Servers, your device MAC address will  be displayed. Please email the MAC address to ACT Help  Desk at [email protected] to register your device.
